Bridgton Faces Northfield Mt. Hermon In First Round of NEPSAC Playoffs

In the first round of the NEPSAC Tournament, Bridgton took the court against Northfield Mt. Hermon. In the first half of the game, the score was back and forth with a two point difference. With five minutes left in the half, Darrick Wood (Washington, DC) sparked an offensive drive to take a small lead. At the end of the half, Bridgton held onto the small 31-27 lead. In the second half, Bridgton came out strong extending the lead for a small margin as Melikke Nichols (Rockaway Beach, NY) hit a three pointer. While it looked like Bridgton could keep the momentum going in their favor, Northfield capitalized on a handful of missed shots by BA to take an 11 point lead. Northfield managed to hold onto their lead for the remainder of their game as the finished with a 72-61 win.

Great Season Bridgton! What a treat to see so much talent on the court! I enjoyed many of the games and if I may be so bold to offer advice: finish strong on the academic side and continue to work hard planning for your future.
